The community room is ideal for local businesses and organisations which require meeting, conference or training space, supported with AV equipment.
The room holds 8-30 people depending on the nature of the event being held and room configuration. View ‘Capacity Information’ for more details.
The room can be hired in blocks of thirty minutes at £4 per block, with a minimum hire period of 1 hour. All bookings are also subject to a 50p booking fee.
Costs include electricity, heating and the shared use of the kitchen including use of kitchen equipment such as a double oven cooker, tall larder fridge, microwave and kettle facility. If the kitchen is essential to your booking, we recommend that you book it out with your room hire.
If you intend to undertake food preparation for your event, you will be required to hire the kitchen with your booking, this will ensure sole use of the kitchen for your event. If you require sole use of the kitchen please add ‘Exclusive Use of Kitchen’ to your shopping basket before checking out. If the kitchen has already been booked we will let you know and give you the opportunity to reschedule or cancel your booking.
When completing your booking please allow enough time to set-up before and clean away again after your event or meeting. For instance, if you book the room from 9am-11am, then by 11am it must be vacated, clean, tidy and ready for the next users.
